Best By Test

Being 70, playing off 5, and having up to 6 three putts per round makes competing difficult. Having used blade putters all my golfing life I decided I needed something more stable and consistent to promote trust and confidence. I spent a year testing dozens of different mallet style putters. In the end it came down to the Ardmore or Ardmore 2. After 4 hours testing the two putters back to back, it was like splitting hairs, but I chose the Ardmore because I found it more consistent on long putts. These putters sit square, are easy to align, have a nice feel with consistent ball roll, which makes them the best I found overall. No putter will correct a bad read or poor stroke, but with only 1 three putt in my past five rounds, due to getting the long putts closer, and not missing as many short putts, confidence is returning. A great feeling.
